The txt.01 –originally named in nahuatl, icpalli (seating)– is a handmade tule seat, made through a complex process that requires complete mastery of the technique.
txt.01 is one of the unique objects that are still made with the same technology than in the pre-Columbian era, a powerful connection to the past. The forms of the txt.01 hold a traditional DNA. txt.ure has honed its style and scale to translate the icpalli into the contemporary design language.

Txt.ure is a collaborative design project committed to revisit classic design pieces from Mexican folk tradition with special functional, historical, and aesthetic qualities.
At txt.ure they believe that collaboration between design and craftsmanship promotes experimentation and innovation, which is necessary to the development of Mexican contemporary design.
Currently designing a social interaction methodology to change positively the life of artisans, they consider themselves a collaborative design practice and conceive Design in itself is a vehicle for social transformation - a plan that improves the working conditions of the artisans, ensures the preservation of traditional techniques, and fosters the aesthetic sensibility of craftsmen and workers.
